OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CREATING ZONE A WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE an OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AND RESTRICTING THE U3E3 TO 1d HICH BUILDINGS MAY BE PUT WITHIN SAID DISTRICT AND PROVIDING THE DI:S.. TANCE BACK WHICH BUILDINGS THEREIN SHALL BE SET FROM THE PROPERTY LINE AND PROVIDING TM; PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF"; AND CREATING A. ZONE AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES, THEREOF WITFIIW THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AND RESTRICTING THE USES TO WHICH BUILDINGS MAY BE PUT WITHIN SAID ZONE AND PROVIDING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The Board of Truetees of the City of National City, California, do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Ordinance N'o. 561 of said City, entitled "An Ordinance creating Zone A within the limits of the City of anal City, California, and restricting the use to which buildings may be put within said district and providing the distance back which buildings therein shall be set from the property line and providing the penalty for the violation thereof", be and the name is hereby repealed. r,z, SECTION 2. That there is hereby created within said .11 City, Zone A which includes all that portion of said City lying between Division Street and Tenth Street and the Northerly line of Tenth Street extended Easterly and between a line parallel Nto and distant 125 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of A Avenue and the said Easterly line of A Avenue produced Northerly and Southerly, and the North South center line of Quarter Sections 131 and 132, according to Map No. 166 on file in the Recorder+s Office of San Diego County, State of California, excepting therefrom the following land to -wits Beginning at a point which is 125 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of A Avenue and 125 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Eighth Street; thence Easterly on a line parallel to and distant 125_ 1. 91. feet Northerly fr©m the drtherly line of Eighth Streete a point 125 feet,Easterly free the Easterly line of Highland Ave- nue; thence Southerly on aline: parallel to and distant 1 55 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of Highland Avenge to a point 125 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Eighth Street;!thence Westerly an a line paralt3el to and distant 125 feet. Southerly from the Southerly line of Eighth Street to the intersection of said line with the center line of Highland Avenue; thence Southerly along the center line of Highland Avenue to a point 290 feet Southerly from the southerly line of Eighth Street; thence Westerly on a line parallel to and distant 290 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Eighth Street to a point 290 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Highland Avenue; thence Northerly on a line parallel to and distant 290 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Highland Avenue to a point 125 feet Southerly from the Southerly lihe of Eighth Street; theme Westerly on a line parallel to and distant 125 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Eighth Street to a point 125 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of A Avenue; thence Northerly on a line parallel to and distant 125 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of A Avenue to the point of beginning. SECTION 5. That no "building, structure or iaprovement shall be erected, constructed, established, altered or en- larged within said Zone A for a commercial or business pur.. pose or for the purpose of carrying on therein a business for profit, provide however, that this Ordinanee 0411 not prevent the ereetion of dwelling houses within said Zone for rental purposes, nor the renting of rooms therein, nor the keeping of a reasonable number of chickens for family use. SECTION 4. That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a demeanorand upon conviction thereof, shall be punished 2. 92. by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars (45OO.00) or by imprisonment in the County jail for a period of not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Eaoh such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this Ordinance is committed, continued or permitted, by aueh person, firm or oorporation, and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this Ordinance. SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby di.rect+s to cause this Ordinance to be published once in The National City News, a newspaper printed and published in said City and of genera circulation therein. SECTION B. This Ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day after its passage and approval.
