It shall be unlawful for any pexson or persona, firm or cororation or tho agent or employee of any person or persons, firm or corporation owning, controlling, leasing, acting as agent for, conducting, operatin, or manaeing any restaurant, cafe, lunch counter, cafeteria, soda fountain, toe cream parlor, soft drink stand, grocery or other place in the City of National City, whore food is prepared for sale, sold, distributed, or dila. played for sale, to conduct or operate, or to cause or pormit to be conducted or operated, such restaurant, cafe, lunch counter, cafeteria, soda fountain, ice cretin parlor, soft drink stand, fruit stand, grocery or other place whore food is prepared for sale, sold, distributed, or displayed for sale, or for any such person to sell, or offer for sale, or to cause or permit to be sold or offered for sale, or to give away, or to cause or poreit to be Given away any food or drink therein or therefrom without first applying for and receiving from the Health Department of the City of National Vity permit thor :for -n the manner hereinafter provided. ijes,e_ '! It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, fixes or corporation to conduct, maintain or operate any establish- 142. ment designated in section one without having complied with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 6. The owner, proprietor, or manager of every establishment of the character of those designated in Section One of this -ordinance, shall keep posted in a conspicuous placo in his place of business a copy of the rules and regulations of the Board of Health of the City of National City regulating establishments designated in Section Ono, a copy of which shall be furnished by the Health Department of the City of Sational City, and shall also keep posted in a conspicuous place in his place of business the permit granted to him under the provisions of this ordinance. Sectinn 6. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shell be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished Isa a fine of not less than ton dollars ($1000), nor more than three hundred dollars (two.00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County of Jan Diego for a period of not more than thr (5) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Svery person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during which any portion of *hit& such viola- tion continues, and shall be punished therefor, as herein provided. Section 7.
