AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL ,CITY, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1193 AND CHAPTER 15.12 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE C I T OF NATIONAL C I T' .
The City Council of the City of National City, California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1193 and Chapter 15.12 of the ' uni-
cipal code of the City of National City are hereby deleted and written
to read as follows:
1 .12. 01O 8uildinq r ovin,--Permit_--Required. Before any
existing building, house or structure may be moved from one location
within the city limits to another location within the city limits, a
permit t for such moving shall be obtained from the Department of
Building and Safety of the city (Ord. 1193 2, 196S).
15._12.020 Build n ro •in licatiorr. A. Fee.
A fee of seventy-five dollars shall accompany each application to
move a structure from its present location on a lot to a new location
on the same building lot. A fee of one hundred fifty dollars shall
accompany each application to hove a building, house or structure
from one building lot to another building lot within the city lints.
B. Inspection. Upon receipt of an app] icit ion uri er this chap-

E. As a condition to granting a permit under this chapter, the
City. Council may require the applicant to install private improvements
on the building site to be occupied by the moved building which in
the judgment of the Council are reasonably required to preserve the
health, safety, and welfare of the community and the neighborhood to
which the building will be craved.
For the purpose of determining required public improvements pur-
suant to Section 13.22.060, the Director of Building and Safety shall
determine the improvement valuation of each building to be moved.
Such improvement valuation shall be based upon the current adopted
policy of the City Council for new buildings.
P. As a condition to the granting of a permit under this chapter
the City Council may require the applicant to make such aesthetic im-
provements and rehabilitations on the moved building as are necessary
to preserve land values and property values in the neighborhood to

the judgment of the Council are reasonably required to preserve the
health, safety, and welfare of the community and the neighborhood to

permit pursuant to this chapter the applicant shall deposit with the
city clerk a performance bond in the amount of fifty dollars to insure
faithful performance of all provisions of this and every other city
law.

G. At the time of making application for a house moving permit
pursuant to this chapter the applicant shall attach to his applica-
tion a certificate of insurance showing liability insurance in the
amount of one hundred thousand dollars for -a single accident and
•
three hundred thousand dollars for two or more accidents together
with liability insurance in the amount of fifty thousand dollars for
property damage which insurance will be in force during the period
of time during which the building in question will be moved through
the city. The certificate of insurance must show that the city is
an additional insured under the policy of insurance in question. The
certificate of insurance must further slew that the city will be
entitled to at least ten days written notice prior to cancellation of
the policy of insurance represented by the certificate of insurance.

firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of Sections
1 .12.010 through 1 . 12.060 is guilty of an infraction. Each and

vision of Sections 13. 1'. 10 through 15.12.060 is committed, con-,
tin ed, or permitted is a separate violation. The penalty for the
