RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY BY
EMINENT DOMAIN FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City as follows:
SECTION 1: The public interest convenience and
necessity of the City of National City and the inhabitants
thereof require the construction, maintenance and operation of
Euclid Avenue from 16th to 20th Streets located in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California.
SECTION 2: At their meeting of February 14, 1989, the
City Council of the City of National City considered the
necessity of the acquisition of fee title to a portion of the
real property and improvements located at 1927 Orange Street by
eminent domain proceedings, for purposes of the construction of
Euclid Avenue from 16th to 20th Streets.
SECTION 3: The public interest and necessity require
said project and require the acquisition of said real property in
fee, and the project and acquisition are for a public use.
SECTION 4: 'The taking of said real property for
municipal purposes by eminent domain proceedings is authorized by
Government sections 37350, 37350.5, 37351, 37353 and 40404.
SECTION 5: The proposed project is planned and located
in a manner which will be compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury.
SECTION 6: The offer required by section 7267.2 of the
Government Code has been made to the owner or owners of record.
SECTION 7: The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to commence and maintain in the name of the City of
National City such actions and proceedings of eminent domain in
the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, as are
necessary to acquire in fee, for the purpose and uses aforesaid,
a portion of that certain real property commonly known as 1927
Orange Street, which is situated in the County of San Diego, and
within the City of National City, State of California, more
particularly described hereto as EXHIBIT B9A".

That portion of Lots 18 and 19 and the North half of Lot 20,
Block 6, Home Crest "A," in the City of National City, according
to the map thereof, Map No. 1140, filed in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of San Diego, State of California, lying
easterly of a line parallel with and 42.00 feet westerly of the
following described line:
Commencing at a point of intersection of the centerline of 20th
Street with the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of
said Block 6 as shown on said Map No. 1140, thence along said
centerline, North 72°05'21" East, 12.00 feet to the point of
beginning of the line to be described; thence North 17°56'00"
West, 217.42 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave easterly,
having a radius of 2,000.00 feet; thence northerly along said
curve, through a central angle of 2°26"20', an arc length of
85.13 feet; thence North 15°29'40" West, 117.26 feet to a point
on a tangent curve concave westerly, having a radius of 2,000.00
feet; thence northerly along said curve, through a central angle
of 2°24'30", an arc length of 84.07 feet; thence North 17°54'10"
West, 157.96 feet to a point in the centerline of 18th Street as
shown on the map of Lincoln Acres Orchard Subdivision, Map No.
1785, on file in said County Recorder's Office.
The above described parcel contains 1,908 square feet, more or
less.
