RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY BY
EMINENT DOMAIN FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
(1618 CASA PLACE OWNED BY G.L. & M. GADOR)

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City as follows:
SECTION 1: The public interest convenience and
necessity of the City of National City and the inhabitants
thereof require the construction, maintenance and operation of
Euclid Avenue from 16th to 20th Streets located in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California.
SECTION 2: At their meeting of February 14, 1989, the
City Council of the City of National City considered the
necessity of the acquisition of fee title to a portion of the
real property and improvements located at 1618 Casa Place by
eminent domain proceedings, for purposes of the construction of
Euclid Avenue from 16th to 20th Streets.
SECTION 3: The public interest and necessity require
said project and require the acquisition of said real property in
fee, and the project and acquisition are for a public use.
SECTION 4: The taking of said real property for
municipal purposes by eminent domain proceedings is authorized by
Government sections 37350, 37350.5, 37351, 37353 and 40404.
SECTION 5: The proposed project is planned and located
in a manner which will be compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury.
SECTION 6: The offer required by section 7267.2 of the
Government Code has been made to the owner or owners of record.
SECTION 7: The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to commence and maintain in the nave of the City of
National City such actions and proceedings of eminent domain in
the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, as are
necessary to acquire in fee, for the purpose and uses aforesaid,
a portion of that certain real property commonly known as 1618
Casa Place, which is situated in the County of San Diego, and
within the City of National City, State of California, more
particularly described hereto as EXHIBIT 'A".

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Lot 7, Leisure I Estates in the City of
National City, according to the map thereof Map No. 8840, on
file in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San
Diego, State of California, recorded on 21st day of April.
1978, lying westerly of a line parallel with and 42.00 feet
easterly of the following described line:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of
Euclid Avenue with the centerline of 16th Street, as shown
on said Map No. 8840, thence South 17°43'52" East, 100.01
feet to a tangent curve concave westerly, having a radius of
1400.00 feet; thence southerly along said curve, through a
central angle of 9°23'28", an arc length of 229.47 feet;
thence South 8°20'24" East, 58.88 feet to a tangent curve
concave easterly having a radius of 1400.00 feet; thence
southerly along said curve, through a central angle of
9°33'46", an arc length of 233.66 feet; thence South
17°54'10" East, 42.89 feet to a point on the centerline of
18th Street, as said centerline is shown on the map of
Lincoln Acres Orchard Subdivision, Map No. 1785 on file in
said County Recorder's Office, 6th day of March 1924; said
point of intersection on the centerline of 18th Street being
also 19.00 feet easterly along said centerline from the
Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Quarter Section 107 per Map No. 166 records of
said County, May llth, 1869.
The above described parcel contains 1,143 square feet, more
or less.
Attached hereto and made a part of this legal description,
is a map designated as Exhibit "B."
