RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DECLARING ALEX MCLINTOCK, INC. TO BE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND AUTHORIZING
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of National City hereby rejects all of
said bids except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards the
contract for the removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb
and gutter, and the installation of pedestrian ramps at
various locations in National City, to the lowest responsive
bidder, to wit:
MCLINTOCK, INC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of National City, California, that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the City, a contract
between MCLINTOCK, INC. and the City of National City to
provide for the replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter and
installation of pedestrian ramps at various location in
National City.

NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT
Gentlemen:
The City Council, at its regular meeting of December 8, , 19 87, awarded
the contract for subject project to your company. In accordance with the contract
documents, you are allowed ten (10) working days from the date of receipt of this
Notice of Award of Contract to return all necessary contracts, bonds and insurance
certificates to the City Engineer.
Attached are four (4) copies of the Contract, the Performance Bond and the Labor/
Material Bond to be executed and returned to the City Engineer. Please be sure
all signatures are notarized. If a corporation, be sure to emboss with the cor-
porate seal. -
Please refer to Sections 7-3 and 7-4 of the Standard Specifications and the Sup-
plemental General Provisions for the insurance requirements. All copies of the
Certificate of Insurance must be received within the above -mentioned 10-day limit.
Any contractors doing work in the City of National City are required to possess a
current City Business License. If you do not already possess one, please fill out
Business License application at Finance Department, City of National City, 1243
National City Boulevard, National City, CA .92050.

hereinafter mentioned, to be made and performed by the OWNER, the CONTRACTOR

all maps, plats, blueprints, and other drawings, and printed or written

The CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before

fully complete the project within 35 working days thereafter.
The CONTRACTOR further agrees to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of S 150.00' •
for each consecutive calendar day that he is in excess of the time specified
for completion.

WHEREAS, said Principal is required to furnish a bond in connection with
said contract providing that if said Principal or any of his or its subcontra-
ctors snail fail to pay for any materials, provisions, provender or other suppl-
used in, upon, for, or about the performance of the work contracted to be
done or for any work or labor done thereon of any kind, or for amounts due
under the Unemployment Insurance Act, the Surety on this bond will pay the same
to the extent hereinafter set forth;

or addition to the terms of the contract or to the work to be performed thereunder,
