PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION,
LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931.
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done
and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment
district hereinafter described in the City of National City,
California. In connection therewith said City Council here-
by finds and determines as follows:
(1) The nature of the proposed improvements con-
sists of water improvements at "I" Avenue - 24th to 26th
Street in the City of National City.
The location and extent of the proposed improvements
will involve the construction of the described improvements
upon the following described public streets and public ways
within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district
hereinafter described, to wit: "I" Avenue - 24th to 26th
Street in the City of National City.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands pro-
posed to be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses
of said proposed work and improvement are as shown upon a
map on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of
National City, which said map indicates by a boundary line
the territory to be included in the proposed assessment dis-
trict, and which said map governs for all details as to the
extent of the district; said map is designated "MAP OF
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 227 FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF water
improvements
(4) The City has budgeted the sum of $ 11,800.00
as a contribution toward the cost of said work. The entire
remaining cost of proposed improvements shall be assessed
against the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to
conduct proceedings for the said work is the Improvement
Act of 1911 of the State of California, with improvement
bonds to be issued as authorized under the provisions of
said Act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described
upon the plans and specifications which are on file with
the City Clerk of the City of National City, and said
plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all
particulars relative thereto and are open to inspection
by anyone interested.
