RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE
PORTIONS OF TWENTY-FIRST STk<I1a BETWEEN WILSON AVENUE AND
THE ALLEY WEST OF WILSON AVENUE. (SC-3-86)
Whereas, the City Council of the City of National City, California,
hereby declares its intention to vacate and close, pursuant to the provisions of
Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of California, the
northerly 30-feet and southerly 30-feet of the80-foot wide, right of way of
21st Street between the westerly line of Wilson Avenue and the easterly line of
the 20-foot wide alley, lying 115 feet west of Wilson Avenue, situated in the
City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein as
though set forth in full; and
Whereas, the City of National City will reserve and except from the
foregoing vacation the permanent easement as more particularly described
hereafter:
Reserving and excepting from the vacation, the permanent
right at any time, or from time to time, pursuant to any franchise
or renewal thereof, for and on behalf of the San Diego Gas &
Electric Company, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, and renew lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles,
and other related structures, including the necessary use of
equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, and
for the transportation or distribution of electric energy,
through, over, under, upon, along and across all portions of the
hereinafter described easement:
The easement and rights hereinabove reserved and excepted
shall include the right of ingress thereto and egress therefrom,
together with the right to maintain the said easement free and
clear of any excavation or fills, the erection or construction of
any building or other structures, the planting of any tree or
trees thereon, or the drilling or digging of any well or wells
thereon, together with the right to otherwise protect from all
hazards the operation and use of any right hereby reserved. Upon
written permission of the public utility listed heretofore, the
owners of the underlying fee may utilize the above described
parcel of land for structures, approved plantings, the
installation of privately owner pipelines, and/or other approved
usages.
The easement reserved herein is in, under, over, upon, along
and across the southerly 30 feet of said 21st Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City that time for hearing any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 7:00 P.M., November 11,
1986, in the City Council Chambers in the Civic Center in the City of National
City, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City of National
City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this
Resolution and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.

STREET VACATION
21st Street WJO Wilson
(Closing an 80 foot wide street to a 20 foot wide alley)
Those portions of land lying between Block 172 and Block 171 on Map 348
filed in the Recorders Office of the County of San Diego, State of California,
October 2, 1882, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center-line.of 21st Street and the
Southerly prolongation of_the Easterly line of said Block 172; thence Northerly
along said Southerly prolongation a distance of 10 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Thence Northerly along said Southerly prolongation to the Southeasterly
corner of Lot 13 in said Block 172; thence westerly along the Southerly line
of said Block '172 to the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 13; thence South-
easterly along the arc of a 30 foot radius curve, concave Northeasterly, that
is tangent to the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line_of said Lot 13
and a line parallel with and 10 feet Northerly of said center line of 21st
Street, to the point of tangency with said parallel line; thence Easterly
along said parallel line to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
AND ALSO:
Beginning at the intersection of the center -line of 21st Street and the
Northerly prolongation of the Easterly line of said Block 171; thence Southerly
along said Northerly prolongation a distance of 10 feet to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Thence Southerly along said Northerly prolongation to the Northeasterly
corner of Lot 22 in said Block 171; thence westerly along the Northerly line
of said Block 171 to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot.22; thence North-
easterly along the arc of a 30 foot radius curve, concave Southeasterly, that
is tangent to the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly line of said Lot 22
and a line parallel with and 10 feet Southerly of said center line of 21st
Street, to the point of tangency with said parallel line; thence Easterly
along said parallel line to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
