HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 15,039f RESOLUTION ND. 15,039 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING THE POLICE FACILITY BOND PROPOSITION WHEREAS, a special election is to be held in the City of National City on November 4, 1986, at which there will be submitted to the voters the following proposition: POLICE FACILITY BOND PROPOSITION: Shall the City of National City incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $6,500,000, the estimated cost of the public improvements, for the purpose of the acquisition and construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit, a new police facility, including off-street parking facilities and landscaping therefor and including the acquisition of land necessary therefor? NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City does resolve, determine, and authorize that Vice -Mayor Cooper, Councilman Dalla, Councilman Van Deventer, and Councilman Waters, members of the City Council, file a written argument in favor of the City proposition set forth in the recital hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against the City proposition may be submitted to the City Clerk.
