HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,895RESOLUTION NO. 14,895 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR AND ATTESTATION BY THE CITY CLERK OF A QUITCLAIM DEED (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, as follows: That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to attest, that certain Quitclaim Deed to United States of America, of the property more fully described in the Quitclaim Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. Kile Morganyor ATTEST: Campbell, Cit 'Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: George H. iser, III - City Attorney CORPORATION QUITCLAIM DEED OF EASEMENTS AND FACILITIES from CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA to UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WHEREAS, the City of National City, San Diego County, State of California is the owner of certain sewer line easements located in streets lying within the Naval Station, San Diego, National City Map No. 348 of Official Records, San Diego County, California, and WHEREAS, the sewer lines are in need of extensive repair and the City of National City does not have sufficient funds to accomplish these repairs, and WHEREAS, the U.S. Navy wishes to make these extensive repairs and realignment, and WHEREAS, the U.S. Navy is not allowed by existing Federal Law, to accomplish the repair except on U.S. Government owned facility, and WHEREAS, the City of National City has by Agreement and Resolution No. 14,475 dated 14 November 1984 agreed to relinquish these easements and to participate in the repair; NOW, THEREFORE, the City of National City acting through the Mayor of the City hereby grants to the United States of America, easements and facilities in the following described lands: All the easements and facilities lying within the limits of the following streets as said streets are shown on National City Map No. 348 of Official Record, dated October 2, 1882, San Diego County, California, more particularly described as follows: Hoover Avenue (formerly Second Avenue) from the southerly line of Division Street to the northerly line of Fifth Street; AND Harding Avenue (formerly Third Avenue) from the Northerly line of Second Street to the southerly line of Sixth St. AND Second Street from the westerly line of Interstate 5 to the Westerly line of Harding Avenue (formerly Third Avenue). AND Fourth Street from the westerly line of Interstate 5 to the westerly line of Harding Avenue (formerly Third Avenue). Executed at City of National City, California, this /4 day of � of r , 1986.
