HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,557a • RESOLUTION NO. 14,557 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND HARTSONS AMBULANCE SERVICE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an amended agreement (approved 9-27-83 by Resolution No. 14,148) between Hartsons Ambulance Service and the City of National City for basic and advanced life support services. PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 1985. ATTEST: SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND HARTSONS AMBULANCE SERVICE FOR BASIC AND ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SERVICES This amends the agreement of October 1, 1983, (adopted by Resolution No. ) between National City and Hartsons Ambulance Service for Basic and Advanced Life Support services. The express purpose of this amendment is to further insure that the citizens of National City receive the highest level of emergency and non - emergency medical transportation services for the lowest cost to the individual consumer, and without a direct subsidy from the City of National City to the provider of said services. Therefore, the parties agree as follows: 1. FEE SCHEDULES Hartsons is authorized to bill patients transported according to the fee structures attached as Exhibit A and B. Patients billed shall be provided with varied payment options. Said charges may be modified from time to time by the City, by Council resolution, after submittal by Hartsons of a request for same with supporting financial documentation. City agrees to review and act on rate modification requests within ninety (90) days of the date of submittal. of said request and supporting documentation. — 2. TERM The effective date of this amendment shall be March 5, 1985. The termination date shall be identical with the terms specified in Section 14 of the October 1, 1983 agreement.
