I propose an interim consulting agree-; ment covering the period from December 1, 1985 through June 30, 1986. I would expect to perform the activities covered in the following Statement of Work, as well as any other relatedfunctions directed by your committee. At the conclusion of this period, I. would hope to negotiate a follow-on agreement covering the long term project. _ STATEMiNT OF WORK .-1. Draft and mail a letter to be signed by Mayors Cox and Morgan requesting _reactions to the South Bay project. This would be mailed to some 200 governmental, civic and thought leaders in all of the bay communities `explaining our objectives and requesting their responses. This would help insure that we do not overlook problem areas. I would consolidate j.i..responses for review by the committee. I believe this to have significant advantages over a random poll that would not necessarily reach people ;.wino will .have a voice Cost: Tnr1nded i.n fee." :ti '2.
