HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,210RESOLUTION NO. 14,210 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A PROGRAM OF CONSTRUCTION OF RAMPS FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS AT STREET INTERSECTIONS WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO PREPARE A NEGATIVE DECLARATION THEREFOR WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Community Development Commission has evaluated an initial study of a program of construction of ramps for handicapped persons at street intersections within the National City Downtown Redevelopment Project pursuant to the City's adopted Guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, and pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act and has determined that such activity will not have a significant effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and evaluated said Initial Study and its assessment by the Executive Director and concurs in said assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California that a program of construction of ramps for handicapped persons pursuant to the State of California Small Cities Grant Program, 1984 and pursuant to the U.S. Housing & Community Development Act of 1974, as amended will not have a significant effect on the environment and the Executive Director of the Community Development Commission is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a Negative Declaration for such Project.
