RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE
NATIONAL CITY GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council has caused and duly held studies and
proceedings for the timely amendment of the General Plan of the City of
National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 7 of the Government Code
of the State of California; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearing were held by the City
Planning Commission and also by the City Council and all persons interested were
given opportunity to appear and to be heard before said Planning Commission and
saki City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did consider all evidence and testimony
presented at said hearings; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the recommendations of the City
Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirability to conduct
reviews of, and consider amendments to, the General Plan to accommodate the
changing needs of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
approves amendments to the National City General Plan as follows:
1. A change from General Plan Pre-Zone/Residential Single Family Small
Lot (GP-PZ/RS-2) to General Plan Pre-Zone/General Commercial -
Planned Development (GP-PZ/CG-PD) on property located at 2849,
2856, 2859 and 2869 Grove Way and from Limited Commercial -Planned
Development (CL-PD) to General Commercial- Planned Development
(CG-PD) on property located at 2868 Grove Way. Case File No. GP-
8-83.
2. A change from Heavy Commercial -Planned Development (CH-PD) to
General Commercial -Planned Development (CG-PD) on property located
south of Plaza Boulevard and east of the "L" Avenue extension. Case
File No. GP-1-84. (Assessor's Parcel No. 557-322-12).
3. An update of the Historical Site Inventory of the City's General Plan
by adding the following properties: 538 "C" Avenue (Pinney House),
305 "F" Avenue (Mitchell -Webster House), 3600 East 8th Street
(Wellington Estate), Harrison Avenue and 23rd Street (Sante Fe Depot),
541 E. 24th Street (Olivewood Clubhouse), and 425 Shell Avenue
(Josselyn House) and by deleting the following properties: 520 "F"
Avenue, 1900 "F" Avenue, 1605 "J" Avenue and 524 E. 7th Street.
