RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
NATIONAL CITY GENERAL PLAN
(Case File No. GP-4-84)
WHEREAS, the City Council has caused and duly held studies and
proceedings for the timely amendment of the General Plan of the City of
National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 7 of the Government
Code of the State of California; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the
City Planning Commission and also by the City Council and all persons
interested were given opportunity to appear and to be heard before said
Planning Commission and said City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did consider all evidence and testimony
presented at said hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the recommendations of the
City Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desireability to
conduct reviews of, and consider amendments to, the General Plan to
accommodate the changing needs of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
approves amendments to the National City General Plan as follows:
Change the land use classification from RT (Residential -Two Family)
to RS-3 (Residential Single Family Extendable) on properties located
between Granger and Rachael Avenues from 18th to 20th Street, with
the exception of the southeast corner of 18th Street and Granger
Avenue which is presently classified CL (Limited Commercial).
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 1984.
