RESOLUTION APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
TO ALLOW A MOTOR VEHICLE STORAGE LOT AT THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF 19TH STREET AND
CLEVELAND AVENUE
(CUP No. 1984-5)
The City Council of the City of National City does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
1) Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission that the owner
of a motor vehicle storage lot at the northwest corner of 19th Street and
Cleveland Avenue, be granted a Conditional Use Permit upon the conditions
hereinafter stated.
2) That the City Council has received the recommendation of the
Planning Commission, and after full and complete consideration of said
recommendation hereby grants the motor vehicle storage lot at the northwest
corner of 19th Street and Cleveland Avenue, subject to the following terms and
conditions:
1. An on -site drainage plan shall be submitted to and approved
by the City Engineer prior to any on -site paving.
2. Parking facility shall be paved with permanent surfacing
(asphalt or concrete) in accordance with Section 18.58.650 of the Land
Use Code, and approved by the City Engineer.
3. For better visibility by Patrol Officers and by Astrea, lot
area shall be provided with security lighting. All lighting shall be so
shielded and adjusted that the light therefrom is directed to fall only
on the same premises upon which said light source is located.
4. Vehicles stored on -site shall be limited to those vehicles
owned and/or operated by Triad Marine and their employees. Fire
Department access shall not be obstructed.
5. All areas of existing landscape (parkway on Cleveland
Avenue and required four foot setback on 19th Street) shall be
restored to their original level of coverage, including all ground
covers, and maintained. An as -built landscape plan is required.
6. Perimeter fencing shall be made view obscuring. Visual
openings shall be provided for security surveillance. Such openings
shall not exceed twenty-four inches in width and the aggregate of
openings shall not exceed fifteen percent of the linear length of fence
along any site of the enclosed area.
7. All conditions imposed upon the approval of this conditional
use permit shall be satisfied prior to occupancy of this property.
8. A coastal permit shall be obtained prior to any
improvements of this property.

9. Before the conditional use permit shall become effective,
the applicant shall file with the Planning Department, a written
statement acknowledging and accepting all conditions imposed upon the
approval of this permit.
