HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,433RESOLUTION NO. 14,433 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ORDER TO VACATE AND CLOSE HARRISON AVENUE, BETWEEN 17TH & 18TH STREETS; SOUTHERLY 40 FEET OF 17TH STREET, BETWEEN THE ALLEY WEST OF CLEVELAND AVENUE & HARRISON AVENUE; AND NORTHERLY 75 FEET OF THE 20 FOOT WIDE ALLEY BETWEEN 17TH & 18TH STREETS, CLEVELAND AND HARRISON AVENUES (SC-3-83) WHEREAS, on February 28, 1984, a hearing was had pursuant to Resolution No. 14,217 to determine whether the following street/alley within the City of National City should be vacated to wit: Harrison Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets; southerly 40 feet of 17th Street, between the alley west of Cleveland Avenue and Harrison Avenue; and, northerly, 75 feet of the 20 footwide alley between 17th and 18th streets, Cleveland and Harrison Avenues excepting therefrom certain public easements, as more particularly referred to in Resolution of Intention No. 14,217. WHEREAS, the City Council at said hearing, found, from all evidence submitted, that said street/alley is unnecessary for present or prospective public street/alley purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are respectfully authorized and directed to execute and attest an Order of Vacation of the above described street/alley. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of subject order to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, pursuant to Section 8324, California Streets and Highways Code.
