HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,459prawn RESOLUTION NO. 14,459 RESOLUTION DENYING AN APPLICATION FOR ZONE VARIANCE TO ALLOW A STORAGE SHED (ACCESSORY STRUCTURE) TO BE LOCATED WITHIN THE REQUIRED 4-FOOT SIDE YARD SETBACK ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1807 "0" AVENUE (Applicant - M. Parra) (Z-7-84) The City Council of the City of National City, California, does hereby find, determine, order, and resolve as follows: WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of National City, California, held on August 20, 1984, said commission adopted Resolution No. 33-84, denying application for zone variance to allow a storage shed (accessory structure) to be located within the required 4-foot side yard setback on property located at 1807 "0" Avenue based on a finding that the applicant failed to identify any special circumstances applicable to the property that justify the granting of zone variance; and, WHEREAS, an appeal of Planning Commission decision was filed with the City Council and a public hearing on appeal was conducted by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, evidence and testimony presented to the City Council at the meeting of October 9, 1984, failed to support a finding of special circumstances applicable to the property that justify the granting of zone variance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this application for zone variance is denied for the reason that the applicant has failed to identify any special circumstances applicable to the property that justify the granting of zone variance. PASSED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of October, 1984. ATTEST:
