Home My WebLink AboutCC RESO 14,482RESOLUTION NO. 14,482 RESOLUTION ORDERING PROPOSEDAREORGANIZATION INCLUDING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND DETACHMENT FROM THE LOWER SWEETWATER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, THE SPRING VALLEY SANITATION DISTRICT AND THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT - Zone 3 WHEREAS, on September 10, 1984, the Local Agency Formation Commission approved the proposed "Grove Way Reorganization" consisting ofthe following: 1. Annexation of the territory described in Exhibit "A" and attached hereto to the City of National City. 2. Detachment of the territory described in Exhibit "A" from the Lower Sweetwater Fire Protection District. 3. Detachment of the territory described in Exhibit Spring Valley Sanitation District. WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited; WHEREAS, reorganization is proposed for the purpose of providing city services for a master planned retail center; WHEREAS, the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) held a public hearing on the proposed reorganization September 10, 1984, and gave notice of the date, time, and place of said hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 56264 and 56265; WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 56271.1, LAFCO authorized the City of National City to initiate reorganization proceedings in compliance with Government Code Section 56430 et seq. and LAFCO Resolution No. R084-10 after necessary notice was given and hearing was held; WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 56430jt tfigq' City Council of the City of National City held a public hearing on November 13, 1984 to consider the proposed reorganization after duly advertising and noticing said hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 56430 et. seq. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City does hereby order the proposed reorganization consisting of the annexation of the territory described in Exhibit "A" and attached hereto to the City of National City; detachment of the territory described in Exhibit "A" and attached hereto from the Lower Sweetwater Fire Protection District, pos the Spring Valley Sanitation District and the San Diego County Flood Control District - Zone 3.
