RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT
WITH MC DONALD TRANSIT ASSOCIATES, INC.
PROVIDE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of National City, California that the City Manager is
hereby authorized and directed to execute that certain
contract between the City of National City and McDonald
Transit Associates, Inc. for a period of two years
commencing July 1, 1983.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of June, 1983.

C CONTRACT TO OPERATE TRANSIT SERVICE
THIS CONTRACT RENEWAL AND EXTENSION made and entered into on this
the day of , 1983, by and between the CITY
OF NATIONAL CITY, a municipal corporation located in San Diego
County, California, hereinafter called "City", acting by and •
through its duly authorized City Manager, and McDONALD TRANSIT
ASSOCIATES, INC., a Texas Corporation, hereinafter called "McDT",
acting by and through its duly authorized President,
WITNESSETH:
CWHEREAS, the City and McDT entered into a contract and agreement
excuted on the 25th day of April, 1979, for the operation of
public bus transportation service in the City of National City,
an d
WHEREAS, that original contract was renewed and extended, with
certain changes mutually agreed by the parties, for an additional
two year period, and

WHEREAS, the term of the first extension expires on June 30,
1983, and
WHEREAS, said first extension provides that the City shall have
the option to renew and extend the contract agreement for an
additional two (2) years beyond the first extension, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to exercise said option for a second
renewal and extension:
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing recitals and
covenants and agreements of each of the parties herein set forth,
the parties hereby agree as follows:

That the contract and agreement between the parties for operation
of transit service, including the first extension thereof, is
hereby renewed and extended for a period of two (2) years, and
that all terms and conditions of the original contract and
agreement, as amended by the first extension thereof, shall
remain unchanged during the term of the second extension, except
as specified below:
1. Article 2, "Term", of the first extention is hereby modified
by substitution of the following language for the first sentence
thereof:
The term of this second extension of this contract and agreement
shall be for a period of two (2) years from July 1, 1983.
2. Article 11 "Compensation" of the original agreement and the
modification of said article in the first extension, is hereby
modified in its entirety to read as follows:
City shall compensate McDT for services performed hereunder as
follows:
For the first twelve (12) months of this second extension, the
sum of five thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars ($5,750) per
month.
For the second twelve (12) months of this second renewal, a sum
per month to be mutually agreed by the parties as evidenced by a
budget approved by the City pursuant to Section 6 of the original
agreement.
In witness thereof, the parties hereto have executed this second
extension and renewal of this contract and agreement on the
day of A.D., 1983 as of the date and year of
aforesaid.
