HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 14,075RESOLUTION NO. 14,075 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA OPPOSING TELEPHONE RATE INCREASES WHEREAS, the City of National City has populations including many senior citizens, low income workers and others living on fixed incomes, such as Social Security; and WHEREAS, the presently pending Rate Increase Application of Pacific Telephone Company to increase base rates, and Life Line service would seriously adversely affect the majority of our citizens; and WHEREAS, the burden of increased phone service costs should be spread upon those more able to stand the proposed increase; and WHEREAS, shareholders rather than ratepayers should bear the cost of the break of A.T.&T.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the California Public Pacific Telephone inequitable. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of June, 1983. ATTEST: City of National City calls Utilities upon the Commission to reject the pending Company rate application as excessive and
