RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
TO ALLOW DEVELOPMENT OF A FOUR-STORY, 98-UNIT MOTEL
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 1794 ON PROPERTY LOCATED
WITHIN THE 1600 BLOCK OF PLAZA BOULEVARD, NORTH SIDE
(CUP-1983-11 - WALTER PABST)
The City Council of the City of National City, California,
hereby finds, determines, orders, and resolves as follows:
1. That at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission
of the City of National City held on August 15, 1983, said
Commission adopted Resolution No. 28-83 granting approval of a
conditional use permit to allow development of a 98-unit motel
within the 1600 block of Plaza Boulevard upon the conditions
therein stated.
2. That the City Council has received the recommendation
of the Planning Commission and after full and complete
consideration of said recommendation hereby grants Conditional
Use Permit No. CUP-1983-11 for the development of a four-story
98-unit motel, subject to the following findings and conditions:
a. The site for the proposed use is adequate in size
and shape.
b. That the site has sufficient access to street.
c. That the proposed use will not have an adverse
effect upon adjacent or abutting properties.
d. That the proposed use is deemed essential and
desirable to the public convenience and welfare,
and subject to conditions as hereinbelow set
forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this application is
approved subject to development being in accordance with
rendering and plans prepared by Davis and Davis Architects, dated
June 16, 1983; and
FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed use shall comply with
the Motel Development Standards approved by the City Council on
October 25, 1983.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of November, 1983.
