RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR INSTALLATION
OF VAPOR RECOVERY SYTEM AND AUTHORIZING CITY
ENGINEER TO ENTER INTO INSTALLATION CONTRACT
The City Council of the City of National City
does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate and
transfer funds to meet necessary budget requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City that it authorizes, appropriates
and directs the following transfer of funds be made:
FROM: Fund 001 unbudgeted reserve
TO: 001-522-500-599-1321, CIP
AMOUNT: $5,000
PURPOSE: Installation of vapor recovery system
and that the City Engineer be authorized to enter into a
contract on an emergency basis for installation of vapor
recovery equipment at the gasoline dispensing facility of
the City of National City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1982.

For the sum of $4,200.00 we propose to furnish all labor, material &
equipment necessary to perform the following described work at subject
location.
1) Excavate from 2 existing gas tanks to 2- existing dispensers
& install vapor recovery piping as needed for Ec1co Wheaton
balance vapor recovery system.
2) Install overhead retractors, hoses & nozzles as needed on
2 dispensers.
3) Disconnect existing obsolete vapor recovery unit & blower
and cap old lines as necessary.
4) Extend vents to proper height above building & remove manifold.
5) Patch all A/C disturbed by above described work.
6) Perform all tests required by San Diego County A.P.C.D.
(Leak Decay included).
Note: If Leak Decay test should fail, any leaks encountered in existing
underground tanks or pitting (untouched by above described work),
will be repaired on a Time & Material basis due to our lack of
control over existing underground tanks, fittings, vents & etc.
