RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT
DEMOLITION: 2424 EAST 18TH STREET
WHEREAS, Edward B. Wilczak, acting as
Superintendent of Building and Safety of the City of National
City, California, has heretofore filed in the office of the
City Clerk of National City an Order to Demolish under the
provisions of the Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous
Buildings, 1979 Edition, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1713 of
the City of National City; and
WHEREAS, C. R. Williams, acting as Director
of Public Works of the City of National City, has heretofore
filed in the office of the City Clerk Report of Demolition at
2424 East 18th Street under said Order to Demolish ; and
WHEREAS, after the filing of said Order and
Report the City Clerk has, as required by law, given notice
of the filing of said Order and Report and of the time fixed
in said notice for hearing by this City Council; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such
notice a hearing was duly held by this City Council at which
all written appeals, protests or objections, if any, were
duly presented and read, and all persons desiring to be heard
hereon were heard, and this City Council gave all persons
present an opportunity to be heard in respect to any matter
relating to said work of demolition, to any act or
determination of the Superintendent of Building and Safety
and the Director of Public Works of the City of National City
to the performance of said work, or to any other act,
determination or proceedings of said Superintendent of
Building and Safety or said Director of Public Works, or to
any matter relating to said work, or the proceedings
therefor; and
WHEREAS, all such persons desiring to be
heard have been heard by this City Council, and this City
Council is fully informed in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of National City, California, DOES HEREBY FIND, RESOLVE,
DETERMINE, AND ORDER, as follows:
That said hearing has been duly held; that
each and every step in the proceeding prior to and including
the hearing has been duly and regularly taken; that this City
Council is satisfied with the correctness of the assessment,
the proceedings and all matters relating thereto, and all
protests, objections or appeals be and the same are hereby
overruled and denied, and this City Council does hereby
confirm said proceedings and said assessment.
That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to record the Notice of Assessment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of November,
1982.

NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT
Pursuant to the authority vested in the Superintendent
of Building and Safety of the City of National City,
California, by the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous
Buildings, 1979 Edition, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1713 of
the City of National City, the Superintendent of Building and
Safety did on the 8th day of July, 1982, cause a nuisance to be
abated on the real property hereinafter described; and the City
Council of the City of National City did on the 9th day of
November, 1982, by action duly recorded in its official minutes
as of said date, assess the cost of such abatement, less the
amount received from the sale of any building materials upon
the real property hereinafer described, plus administrative
costs, and the same has not been paid nor any part thereof; and
the said City does hereby claim a lien on said real property
for the net expense of completing said work in the sum of
$2,710.42, and the same shall be a lien upon said real
property until the said sum, with interest at the rate of 6%
per annum, from the said 9th day of November, 1982, has been
paid in full and discharged of record. The real property
hereinbefore mentioned and upon which a lien is claimed, is
that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the
City of National City, County of San Diego, State of
California, and particularly described as follows:
2424 East 18th Street, in the City of
National City, County of San Diego,
State of California
