RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
CONCURRING -IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the Government Code requires each
county in cooperation with affected local jurisdictions,
to prepare a comprehensive, coordinated solid waste
management plan, and
WHEREAS, said Code also requires that such plan
shall be consistent with state policy and any appropriate
regional or sub -regional solid waste management plan, and
WHEREAS, said Code also requires that the county
solid waste management plan shall be subject to the
approval of a majority of the cities within the county
which contain a majority of the population of the incor-
porated area of the county, and
WHEREAS, said Code also requires that the plan
be reviewed and revised, if appropriate, at least every
three years, and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego has prepared
a revised plan for solid waste management in conformance
with the Code and on April 13, 1982 submitted said plan
to this Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of National City has reviewed said
revised plan, approves the revised plan, and concurs in
the following:
SECTION A. The objectives set forth in the
plan;
SECTION B. The method and organization for
implementation of the programs
contained in the plan;
SECTION C. The procedures for financing the
recommended solid waste management
program; and
ATTEST:
SECTION D. The role identified in the plan for
the City in implementing this
cooperative effort for management
of solid waste in an economical
and environmentally acceptable
manner.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of May, 1982.
