RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION NO. 13,404
(Alleys 31, 50 and 105,
Assessment District No. 208)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National
City desires to make certain amendments to the previously
adopted Resolution of Intention No. 13,404;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution
of Intention No. 13,404 is amended to read as follows:
The City Council of the City of National City,
California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as
follows:
Section 1. The public interest and convenience
require and it is the intention of the City Council of said
City of National City to order the following work to be done
or improvement to be made in the City of National City, to
wit: that ALLEYS 31, 50 and 105, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO.
208 be improved as follows: grading, P.C.C. paving and some
drainage and that any other work auxiliary to any of the above
and which may be required to carry out the same be performed.
Section 2. The attention of all persons is directed
to the fact that all of said classes of work above described
may not be constructed upon all of the streets or public ways
above mentioned in their entirety, but only upon the particular
locations shown on the plans, specifications and drawings.
Section 3. The estimated cost of said work, includ-
ing incidental expenses, is the sum of $45,967.08. The City
has budgeted the sum of $9,615.30 as a contribution toward
said cost.
Section 4. All the aforesaid work or improvement
shall be constructed at the' grades, along the lines, between
the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the manner
shown on the plans, specifications, profiles and drawings for
the said work approved and adopted by this Council on March
25, 1980, by Resolution No. 13,293. Said plans, specifi-
cations, profiles and drawings are on file -in the office of
• the City Clerk of the City of National City in the Civic Center
of -said City, and reference is hereby made to said plans,
specifications, profiles and drawings for a full and detailed
description of said proposed work and for a description of
the grades at which said work is to be done. Said grades
are hereby adopted and established as the official grades for
all purposes in connection with proceedings pursuant to this
Resolution of Intention. Notice is hereby given that said
grades may be new and different from those heretofore es-
tablished or existing, or may be, and in some cases are, dif-
ferent from existing ground levels.
Section 5. This City Council hereby makes the expense
of said work chargeable upon a district, which district this
City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by
the said work and to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses
thereof. For a description of said district, reference is hereby
made to a map of said district heretofore approved by this
City Council on file in the office of the City Clerk and designated
as "MAP OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 208 FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT
ON ALLEYS 31, 50 AND.105 ALL IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA." This map indicates by a boundary line the extent
of the territory included in the said proposed district and
shall govern for all details as to the extent of said assess-
ment district.
Section 6. All public streets or public parks, and
all easements or rights of way belonging to the public, and
also all property owned by the United States of America or
the State of California now in use in the performance of a
public function are hereby specifically excluded from this
assessment district.
Section 7. Serial bonds bearing interest at the
rate of ten percent (10%) per annum shall be issued to repre-
sent each assessment of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) or
over remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of
recordation of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend
over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the next September 1 following their
date. Said bonds shall be payable to bearer and there shall
be added after the redemption clause in the bond the following
language, "together with a premium of five percent (5%) of said
unmatured principal." Said bonds are to be issued pursuant to
and as provided in the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 8. The said proposed work is to be done
under and proceedings therefore are to be under and pursuant
to the said Improvement Act of 1911.
Section 9. Notice is hereby given that the A{ith day
of November, 1981, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. are
the day and hour when, and the Council Chambers of this City
Council in the Civic Center in the City of National City is the
place where, any and all persons having any protest or objection
to said proposed work or to the extent of said assessment
district, or to the proposed grades, may appear before the
City Council of the City of National City and show cause why
said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with
this Resolution of Intention. Protests or objections must be
in writing and must be delivered to the City Clerk of said
City of National City not later than the hour herein set for
hearing protests or objections.
Section 10. The National City Star News is hereby
selected as the newspaper in which this resolution shall be
published and in which all other publications regarding the
proceedings pursuant to this Resolution of Intention shall be
made. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and to cause said Resolution to
be published in the manner provided by law.
Section 11. Notice is hereby given that the
office of the City Engineer of the City of National City,
Telephone No. 714-474-8528 is hereby designated by the
City Council to answer inquiries regarding the hearing
proceedings in Assessment District No. 208.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 27,'1981
the City Council of the City of National City, passed and
adopted Resolution of Intention No. 13,671 under the pro-
visions of the Improvement Act of 1911 for the purpose of
ordering the City of National City, County of San Diego,
State of California, to wit:
That ALLEYS 31, 50 and 105
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 208 be improved
as follows: earthwork, curb, paving,
and that any other work auxiliary to any of the above and
which may be required to carry out the same, be performed,
excepting therefrom all of.the herein -described work of all
said work that has already been done to the lines and grades
and in accordance with the plans, specifications and draw-
ings hereafter described.
The estimated cost of the construction of said improve-
ments is the sum of $ 45,967.08 , including incidental
expenses. The City of National City has budgeted the sum
of $ 9,615.30 as a.contribution toward the cost of
said work. The remaining costs thereof will be assessed
upon the property benefited. Said Resolution of Intention
No. 13,671 is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of National City and is referred to for all particu-
lars.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON:
November g4 1981 , at the hour of 7:00 p.m. of said day,
at the meeting place of the City Council of the City of.
National City, 1243 National City Boulevard, National City,
California has been fixed as the time and place of hearing
any and all objections to the proposed work and improvement,
the grades toich said work is proposed to be done, or the
boundaries of the district. Any persons owning property
within the boundaries of the district may present written
protest, not later than the hour hereinabove set for hearing,
against the doing of said work, the grades toich said work
is to be done or the boundaries of the district proposed to
be assessed. Any protest filed must be in writing and must
contain a description of the property in which the signer
thereof is interested, sufficient to identify the same, and
must be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of National
City.
This work is to be done by special assessment proceed-
ings under the Improvement Act of 1911. Property owners
will be able to pay their assessments in cash at the term-
ination of work and confirmation of the assessment. If any
property owner does not desire to pay for the work in cash,
a bond will be issued against the property for the amount
of any assessment of $150.00 or more, under the Improvement
Act of 1911, which bond will bear interest at the rate of
ten percent (l00) per annum and will be payable in equal
installments over a period of nine (9) years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 27, 1981
the City Council of the City of National City, passed and
