HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,579RESOLUTION NO. 13,579 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA TO PURCHASE A PARCEL OF LAND, ADDRESS 40 EAST 30th STREET, NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City,by adoption of Resolution No. 13,192 on December 11, 1979 established a Redevelopment Survey Area, which included the land within the City Limit Line; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City, by adoption of Resolution No. 13,518 on March 3, 1981 added to said Redevelopment Survey Area areas which had been annexed to National City since December 11, 1979; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of National City, California, on April 13, 1981, adopted a Preliminary Plan for the National City Downtown Redevelopment Project, within which Assessor's Parcel Number 562-251-32 is located; and WHEREAS, Section 33392 of the California Community Redevelopment Law permits the Community Development Commission to acquire real property, by negotiation, within a Redevelopment Survey Area after a Preliminary Plan is adopted but before a Redevelopment Plan is adopted providing the legislative body of the community authorizes such acquisition; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Commissionwishes to acquire with its funds, on a negotiated basis., Assessor's Parcel Number 562-251-32, dimensions 65.30 ft. frontage by 173.44 ft. in depth, consisting of 11,325.60 sq.ft. (the former La Morena Liquor Store), address 40 East 30th Street, owned by McMillin Development, Inc. for redevelopment purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California that the Community Development Commission of the City of National City is hereby authorized, pursuant to the provisions of Section 33392 of the California Community Redevelopment Law, to acquire, by negotiation, using Community Development Commission funds, Assessor's Parcel Number 562-251-32 consisting of 11,325.60 sq.ft. of land, (formerly the site of La Morena Liquor Store) from McMillin Development, Inc.
