RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
(Alley No. 78 from 18th Street to 20th Street,
between "N" Avenue and "0" Avenue).
Assessment District No. 202
The City Council of the City of National City,
California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as
follows:
Section 1. The public interest and convenience
require and it is the intention of the City Council of said
City of National City to order the following work to be done
or improvement to be made in the City of National City, to
wit: that
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 202 be improved as follows:
Alley No. 78 from 18th Street to 20th Street, between
Avenue. and "0" Avenue,
and that any other work auxiliary to any of the above and
which may be required to carry out the same be performed.
Section 2. The attention of all persons is directed
to the fact that all of said classes of work above described
may not be constructed upon all of the streets or public ways
above mentioned in their entirety, but only upon the particular
locations shown on the plans, specifications and drawings.
Section 3. The estimated cost of said work, includ-
ing incidental expenses, is the sum of $27,274 . The City
has budgeted the sum of $1,186 as a contribution toward
said cost.

Section 4. All the aforesaid work or improvement
shall be constructed at the grades, along the lines, between
the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the manner
shown on the plans, specifications, profiles and drawings for
the said work approved and adopted by this Council on May 27th,
1980

Said plans, spec-
ifications, profiles and drawings are on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of National City in the Civic Center
of said City, and reference is hereby made to said plans,
specifications, profiles and drawings for a full and detailed
description of said proposed work and for a description of
the grades at which said work is to be done. Said grades
are hereby adopted and established as the official grades for
all purposes in connection with proceedings pursuant to this
Resolution of Intention. Notice is hereby given that said
grades may be new and different from those heretofore estab-
lished or existing, or may be, and in some cases are, different
from existing ground levels.
Section 5. This City Council hereby makes the expense
of said work chargeable upgn a district, which district this
City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by
the said work and to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses
thereof. For a description of said district, reference is hereby
made to a map of said district heretofore approved by this
City Council on file in the office of -the City Clerk and designated
as "MAP OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 202 FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT
ON ALLEY NO. 78 FROM 18TH STREET TO 20TH STREET, BETWEEN "N"
AVENUE AND "0" AVENUE,
ALL IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA." This map
indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included
in the said proposed district and shall govern for all details
as to the extent of said assessment district.
Section 6. All public streets or public parks, and
all easements or rights of way belonging to the public, and also
all property owned by the United States of America or the State
of California now in use in the performance of a public function
are hereby specifically excluded from this assessment district.
Section 7. Serial bonds bearing interest at the rate
of six percent (6%) per annum shall be issued to represent each
assessment of fifty dollars ($50.00) or over remaining unpaid
for thirty (30) days after the date of recordation of the
warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending
nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding
the next September 1 following their date. Said bonds shall
be payable to bearer and there shall be added after the re-
demption clause in the bond the following language, "together
with a premium of five percent (5%) of said unmatured princi-
pal." Said bonds are to be issued pursuant to and as provided
in the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 8.-The said proposed work is to be done
under and proceedings therefore are to be under and pursuant
to the said Improvement. Act of 1911.
Section 9. Notice is hereby given that the 15thday
of July, 1980 , at the hour of 7:45 o'clock p.m. are
the day and hour when, and the Council Chambers of this City
Council in the Civic Center in the City of National City is the
place where, any and all persons having any protest or objection
to said proposed work or to the extent of said assessment
district, or to the proposed grades, may appear before the
City Council of the City of National City and show cause why
said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with
this Resolution of Intention. Protests or objections must be
in writing and must be delivered to the City Clerk of said
City of National City not later than the hour herein set for
hearing protests or objections.
Section_10. The National City Star News is hereby
selected as the newspaper in which this Resolution shall be
published and in which all other publications regarding the
proceedings pursuant to this Resolution of Intention shall be
made. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and to cause said Resolution to
be published in the manner provided by law.
Section 11. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
mail notices of the adoption of this Resolution as provided
in said Improvement Act of 1911, postage prepaid, to all
persons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed
to pay any part of the cost of said work whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll or as
known to the City Clerk.
Section 12. The Street Superintendent of
the City of National City is hereby directed to cause
to be conspicuously posted along the line of the con-
templated work and on all open streets within the said
assessment district notices .of the passage of this Resol-
ution of Intention in the time, form and manner provided
by law.
Section 13. Notice is hereby given that the
office of the City Engineer of the City of National City,
Telephone No. 714-477-1181, is hereby designated by the
City Council to answer inquiries regarding the hearing
proceedings in Assessment District No. 20.2 .

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 27th, 1980
the City Council of the City of National City, passed and
adopted Resoltuion of Intention No. 13,343 under the pro-
visions of the Improvement Act of 1911 for the purpose of
ordering the following work to be done and improvements to
be made in the City of National City, County of San Diego,
State of California, to wit:
That Alley No. 78 from 18th Street to 20th Street,
between "N" Avenue 'and "0" Avenue, n;_st_ Nn7n7be improved
as follows: excavation, paving & staking and that any other
work auxiliary to any of the above and which may be required
to carry out the same, be performed, excepting therefrom
all of the herein -described work of all said work that has
already been done to the lines and grades and in accordance
with the plans, specifications and drawings hereafter des-
cribed.
The estimated cost of the construction of said improve-
ments is the sum of $ 27,274 , including incidental
expenses. The City of National City has budgeted the sum
of $ 1,186 as a contribution toward the cost of
said work. The remaining costs thereof will be assessed
upon the property benefited. Said Resolution of Intention
No. is on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of National City and is referred to for all
particulars.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON: 15th day of
July, 1980 , at the hour of 7:45 p.m. of
said day, at the meeting place of the City Council of the
City of National City, 1243 National City BLVD, National City,
California has been fixed as the time and place of hearing
any and all objections to the proposed work and improvement,
the grades to which said work is proposed to be done, or the
boundaries of the district. Any persons owning property with-
in the boundaries of the district may present written protest,
not later than the hour hereinabove set for hearing, against
the doing of said work, the grades to which said work is to
be done or the boundaries of the district proposed to be
assessed. Any protest filed must be in writing and must
contain a description of the property in which the signer
thereof is interested, sufficient to identiy the same,
and must be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of National
City.
This work is to be done by special assessment proceedings
under the Improvement Act of 1911. Property owners will be
able to pay their assessments in cash at the termination of
work and confirmation of the assessment. If any property
woner does not desire to pay for the work in cash, a bond
will be issued against the property for the amount of any
assessment of $50.00 or more, under the Improvement Act
of 1911, which bond will bear interest at the r ate of six
percent (6%) per annum and will be payable in equal install-
ments over a period of nine.(.9) years.

hereby designated by the City Council to answer inquired regard -

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 27th, 1980 , the

the Improvement Act of 1911 for the purpose of ordering the
