HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,262RESOLUTION NO. 13,262 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA RANKING HOUSING SITES FOR FIFTY UNITS OF ASSISTED RENTAL HOUSING, NEW CONSTRUCTION, FOR FAMILIES OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City, by adoption of Resolution No. 13,065 on June 19, 1979 authorized and directed a ballot measure for 50 units of assisted family rental housing, new construction, which is proposed for the June 10, 1980 municipal election; and WHEREAS, the City Council, by adoption of Resolution No. 13,132 on September 18, 1979 designated the Committee for Housing & Community Development as the City's Committee in support of passage of said measure; and WHEREAS, said Committee has analyzed alternative sites within National City for such housing, has made its recommendation thereon, and desires that the City Council indicate its preference and priority among said alternative sites; and WHEREAS, such housing is dependent upon the outcome of said election and is dependent upon County of San Diego Community Development Block Grant Program funding of acquisition of the land and preparation of said site and therefor site selection can at this time only be tentative and consist of a ranking of such sites for planning purposes only; and WHEREAS, the Committee for Housing & Community Development nevertheless needs such ranking for guidance in its work which will include site planning and design considerations for the site ranked one by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE of National City, California low and moderate income famil upon by the City's Committee February 13, 1980 are hereby follows: IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City that potential sites for. fifty units of y housing as considered and recommended for Housing & Community Development on ranked in preference or priority, as (1) Site 3, Southwest corner, 24th Street right of way and Euclid Avenue (2) Site 1, Southeast corner, 8th Street & "E" Avenue (3) Site 4, Northwest corner, 14th Street & "N" Avenue (4) Site 2, Northeast corner, Division Street & Highland Avenue Said sites are as shown and described in the Memorandum to the Committee for Housing & Community Development for its February 13, 1980 meeting from the Executive Director of the Community Development Commission and said Memorandum is on file in the office of the Community Development Commission and in the office of the City's Clerk.
