HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,271RESOLUTION NO. 13;271 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, CALLING, PROVIDING FOR AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD JUNE 3, 1980, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SAID CITY A MEASURE RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUBSIDIZED HOUSING FOR FAMILIES OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME AND CONSOLIDATING SAID ELECTION WITH THE 1980 - STATE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SAID DATE OF ELECTION. WHEREAS, a special election shall be held, on the 3rd day of June, 1980, in the City of National City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City also desires to submit to the qualified electors of said City at said election the question, proposition or measure relating to the construction of subsidized housing for families of low and moderate income and consolidating said election with the 1980 State Primary Election to be held on June 3rd, 1980. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said City Council, pur- suant to i.ts right and authority so to do, does hereby determinethat there shall be and there is hereby ordered submitted to the qualified electors of said City at said special municipal election the following question, to wit: Do the qualified electors of the City of National City approve the development,: YES . construction and acquisition of up to 50 : low -rent dwelling units for families of low and moderate income within the City NO . of National City? A dot ( ) placed in the voting square after the word "YES" in the manner hereinbefore provided shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the question or proposition. A dot ( ) placed in the voting square after the word "NO" in the manner here- inbefore provided shall be counted against the adoption of the question or proposition. SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be required by law to be used thereat. SECTION 3. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolu- tions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. SECTION 5. That this resolution shall take effect immediately. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this llth day of march, 1980. ATTEST:
