RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE
A 1 uRTION OF G AVENUE SOUTH OF 24TH STREET
(SC-1-89)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City, California,
hereby declares its intention to vacate and close, pursuant to the
provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of
California, a portion of G Avenue south of 24th Street, including the
easterly 15 ft. of the northerly, approximately 323 foot of the area and
the entire 30 ft. width of the southerly, approximately 260 feet of the
area, situated in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of
California, more particularly described as parcels 1 and 2 in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set forth in full.
WHEREAS, the City of National City will reserve and except from the
foregoing vacation the permanent easements as more particularly described
hereafter:
Reserving and excepting f u m the vacation, the permanent right at any
time, or from time to time, pursuant to any franchise or renewal
thereof, for and on behalf of the San Diego Gas & Electric Company, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and renew lines of
pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other related structures,
including the necessary use of equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipelines, and for the transportation or distribution
of electric energy, through, over, under, upon, along and across all
portions of the hereinafter described easement:
The easement and rights hereinabove reserved and excepted shall
include the right of ingress thereto and egress theref cud, together
with the right to maintain the said easement free and clear of any
excavation or fills, the erection or construction of any building or
other structures, the planting of any tree or trees thereon, or the
drilling or digging of any well or wells thereon, together with the
right to otherwise ptetect from all hazards the operation ant „�A rf
Also reserving an easement for Pacific Bell along the easterly 10 feet
of the northerly, approximately 323 feet of the area to be vacated.
The easement reserved herein for and on behalf of San Diego Gas &
Electric Canpany is in, under, over, upon, along and across the
portions of G Avenue to be vacated, more particularly described in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set
forth in full.
The easement reserved herein for and on behalf of Pacific Bell is
in, under, over, upon, along and across the easterly 10 feet of the
northerly portion of the area to be vacated, i.e., the easterly 10
feet of the area more particularly described as parcel 1 in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and incororated herein as though set forth in
full.
JW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City, that time for hearing any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 7:00 P.M.,
June 26, 1990, in the City Council chambers in the Civic Center in the
City of National City, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City of National
City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this
Resolution and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.

THE LAND REFERRED TO HEREIN IS SITUATED IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, COUNTY
OF SAN DIEGD, CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, AND IS DESCRIBED AS FOLLDWS:
PARCEL 1
All that portion of the easterly 15 feet of the Northeast One Half of the
unnamed street lying between Blocks 3 and 4 of Flora M. Kimball's
Subdivision of the Ten Acre Lots 15 and 16 (now caananly called "G Avenue")
in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California,
according to Map thereof No. 44, filed in the Office of the County Recorder
of San Diego County, September 30, 1886.
Excepting therefrom that portion which lies Northwesterly of the
Southeasterly boundary of 24th Street, and its Northeasterly and
Southwesterly prolongation lines, as shown on said filed map.
Also excepting therefrom that portion which lies Southeasterly of the
Northerly line of the south 7.00 feet of 25th Street, and its
Northeasterly, and Southwesterly prolongation lines, as shown on said filed
map.
Also excepting therefrom the Northeasterly ten feet thereof as vacated and
closed to public use by Resolution No. 505 of the City of National City, a
certified copy of which was recorded April 12, 1921 in Book 847 Page 474 of
Deeds.
AND ALSO, that portion of a 15 foot wide strip of land adjacent to and
contiguous with the west line of the southerly 71 feet of afore id
easterly 15 feet.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the westerly 10 feet of the northerly 38 feet of said
15 feet wide strip of land.

Southwesterly of and adjacent to Block 4 of Flora M. Kimball's subdivision
of ten acre Lot 15 (now commonly called "G Avenue"), in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California, according to map
thereof No. 44, filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, SeptAnhp.r 30, 1886.
Excepting therefrom that portion which lies Northwesterly of the Northerly
line of the South 7.00 feet of 25th Street, and its Northeasterly and
Southeasterly prolongation lines, as shown on said filed map.
Also excepting therefrom that portion which lies Southeasterly of the
Northwesterly boundary of 26th Street, and its Northeasterly and
Southwesterly prolongation lines, as shown on said filed map.
Also excepting therefrom the Northeasterly ten feet thereof as vacated and
closed to public use by Resolution No. 505 of the City of National City, a
