Dear Sir:
The California Army National Guard employs large vehicles which
require exceptionally wide turning radiuses when leaving and
entering the armory parking lot. Due to the space required to move
the vehicles, traffic on Palm Avenue has been held up for as much
as half an hour.
The National Guard needs NO F'ARKING zones on the east and west side
of Palm Avenue. The NO PARKING zone on the east side of Palm
Avenue should run 25 feet on both side of the armory driveway (see
diagram attached) . The NO PARK=:.ING zone on the west side of Palm
Avenue should run 10 feet on both side of the church driveway.
Our point of contact, Staff Sergeant Lonnie Sol.iday, would be glad
to meet with a city engineer at your earliest convince. He can be
reached at 4. 7--2181 , Monday -Friday 7:00 am to 4: 00 om.
Sincerely,
ANGEL
