HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 91-61RESOLUTION NO. 91-61 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ODUNCJL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE OOMBINED GENERAL PLAN/ ZONING MAP FROM CL TO RS-2 FOR A 5,469 SQ.FT. PARCEL AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LANOIT_AN AVENUE AND MORNING BREEZE LANE. APPLICANT: T ENGIN RING. CASE FTr,E NOS. GP-1991-2, ZC-1991-1 WIT EAS, the City Council considered the recommendation and findings of the Planning Cab fission for approval of an amendment to the General Plan to change the land use designations on the Combined General Plan/Zoning Map, along with evidence and testimony presented at the duly advertised public hearing held by the City Council on March 26, 1991; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have caused and duly held studies and proceedings for the timely amendment to the General Plan of the City of National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 6 of the Government Code of the State of California; and, UBEREAS, the Planning Commission at a duly advertised public hearing held on February 4, 1991 considered the proposed amendment to the General Plan of The City of National City, along with all evidence and testimony presented at said hearing, and along with the proposed Negative Declaration together with any comments received; and, WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirability to conduct reviews of, and consider amendments to, the General Plan to accommodate the changing needs of the runity; WHEREAS, the proposed amendment is exempt from the California_Environmental Quality Act. NOW, amendment is which calls inappropriate the stability THER RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council finds that the proposed in the public interest and is consistent with General Plan policy for the protection of established single-family neighborhoods from higher densities or non-residential development which might affect of the neighborhood or the quality of life. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby amends the Combined General Plan/Zoning Map from CL (Limited Commercial) to RS-2 (Single -Family Residential, Small Lot) for a 5,469 sq.ft. parcel at the southwest corner of Lanoitan Avenue and Morning Breeze Lane, as further described by case file exhibit (GP-1991-2, ZC-1991-1) on file in the office of the City Clerk as Exhibit 10A".
