HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 91-118RESOLUTION NO. 91-118 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY DESIGNATING THE COUNTY AS THE SOLID WASTE LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCY (LEA) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the California Integrated Solid Waste Management Act (AB 939 Sher) will no longer permit National City to function as its own local enforcement agency (LEA) for trash matters; and, WHEREAS, the County has, by agreement, been performing most of the LEA -related duties for the City; and, WHEREAS, the City must designate a revised LEA. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City does hereby designate the County Department of Health Services as the Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency for the City of National City, and requests that all elements required of an LEA by the California Integrated Solid Waste Management Act be properly accomplished.
