HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 91-149RESOLUTION NO. 91-149 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RESOURCES AGENCY, DEPARTMENT OF PARRS AND RECREATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR A COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER TO BE OPERATED BY THE PHILIPINO-AMERICAN COMMUNITY OF NATIONAL CITY (PACNC) WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a grant for a community service center to be operated by the Philipino-American Community of National City (PACNC); and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recre- ation has been delegated the responsibility for the adminis- tration of the grant project, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of an application before submission of said application to the State; and WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the applicant must comply with; and WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for subject project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City as follows: (1) The filing of an application for grant assis- tance by the City of National City is hereby approved for Project PR-37-005 ($49,250) and Project #37-0037 ($49,250). (2) The City of National City understands the assurances and certification in the applica- tion form; and The Philipino-American Community of National City has and will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project; and (4) The City of National City has reviewed and understands the General Provisions contained in the State/local agreement shown in the Procedural Guide; and (3) Continued on Page Two Resolution No. 91-149 Page 2 of 2 (5) The City of National City appoints the Mayor, as agent, to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amend- ments, and payment requests as necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
