RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
RESOURCES AGENCY, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR A COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER
TO BE OPERATED BY THE PILIPINO-AMERICAN
COMMUNITY OF NATIONAL CITY (PACNC),
PROJECT NO. 37-005
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of
California have approved a grant for a community service center to
be operated by the Pilipino-American Community of National City
(PACNC); and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has
been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
grant project, setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission of the City
of National City, pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 91-149
adopted July 16, 1991, applied to the State Department of Parks and
Recreation for a grant for Project No. PR-37-005 in the amount of
$49,250 and the State has now offered the project Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to proceed with the
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized, on
behalf of the City of National City, to execute the Project
Agreement, Project No. PR-37-005, in the amount of $49,250 for the
rehabilitation of the Community Service Center, 1521 "C" Avenue,
National City, to be operated by the Pilipino-American Community of
National City (PACNC) and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest thereto. Said Agreement is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1991.
