DATE: October 16. 1991 Lori Anne People City Clerk N64 A4op-ted RESOLUTION NO. 91-206 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE SALE OF THE CITY -OWNED SURPLUS PROPERTY AT 1603 E. 16TH STREET (A.P.N. 580-180-14) WHEREAS, on June 4, 1991, the City Council declared the City -owned property at 1603 E. 16th Street, A.P.N. 580- 180-14, as surplus and authorized the City Engineer to proceed with the sale of the property, subject to certain special conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to solicit bids for the sale of the City -owned surplus property at 1603 E. 16th Street, A.P.N. 580-180-14. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sale of said property is subject to the following special conditions: 1. Minimum Bid - $115,000.00 2. During the 90-day escrow period, the success- ful bidder shall submit a building plan to convert the existing unusable garage to habit- able space. The design of the conversion should take into account the placing of archi- tectural features to disguise the original use as a garage. The buyer shall obtain a permit for the conversion. The City Council may cancel the sale and escrow if the bidder fails to comply with this requirement. Consequent- ly, the bidder shall pay all of the costs associated with this cancellation. 3. The buyer shall clean up the yard and maintain the landscape. PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 1991. George H.
