RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 1993
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS ANNUAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the Cranston -Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act
of 1990, as amended by the Housing and Community Development Act of
1992, continues the HOME Investment Partnerships program; and
WHEREAS, the City of National City, California is a
Participating Jurisdiction in the HOME Investment Partnerships
program, and is therefore eligible to apply for an estimated
$378,000 in Federal funds designed to assist in the housing needs
of low income families in the City of National City; and
WHEREAS, the program requires the preparation, public review,
public hearing, and approval of a fiscal year 1993 Annual Plan; and
WHEREAS, such Annual Plan has been prepared by the Community
Development Commission of the City of National City, and received
public review and comment, including review and discussion by the
Committee for Housing and Community Development at its regular
meeting on November 18, 1992 and again at its regular meeting on
December 9, 1992, at which time it was approved with suggested
changes, and upon which a public hearing was held before the City
Council on December 22, 1992;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of National City that the HOME Investment Partnerships program
as developed and identified as the Annual Plan for FY 1993 is
hereby approved and adopted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized, on
behalf of the City Council to execute certificates relating to said
Plan, and the Executive Director of the Community Development
Commission is hereby authorized to transmit the document to the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
