RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 1992-1993 EMPLOYEE BENEFIT
PLAN FOR EXECUTIVE AND MID -MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented the City Council with certain
recommendations regarding Executive and Mid -Management Employees' employee
benefits; and,
WHEREAS, THE City Council has determined that the recommended
Employee Benefit Plan, together with any required modifications, should be implemented.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
SECTION 1. The Employee Benefit Plan for Executive and Mid -Management
personnel is hereby approved effective August 11, 1992;

A copy of said Employee Benefit Plan shall be on file in the Office of the
City Clerk and reference is made thereto for all particulars contained therein.

EXECUTIVE AND MID -MANAGEMENT BENEFITS
• To provide a sick leave incentive benefit to reduce unfunded liability which
would be similar to that provided to the Municipal Employees' Association
and which would read:
"Employees having a minimum of 160 hours of accumulated sick leave may
convert the excess hours over 160 to a maximum of 96 sick leave hours per
year to cash or vacation at a conversion rate of 25% (i.e., eight (8) hours of sick
leave maybe converted to two (2) hours of pay or vacation). This may be done
once each year in the month of December."
• To make the Employee Assistance Program, that is provided to the Municipal
Employees' Association, available to Executives and Mid -Managers and paid
for by the City. $30 per employee, per year for psychological counseling for
marital, alcohol, drug and mental problems.
TOTAL COST: $750/YEAR
