HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 93-23RESOLUTION NO. 93-23 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 92-164 CONCERNING THE MASTER LEASE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 92-219, CONCERNING A LEASE FOR PLACEMENT OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM ON THE RADISSON SUITES HOTEL WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 92-164, the City Council of the City of National City authorized a radio communications system for the new police facility, and authorized acquisition of said system pursuant to a Master Lease with Option to Purchase Agreement ("the Lease/Purchase Agreement") by and between GE Capital Public Finance, Inc., the City of National City, and the National City Joint Powers Financing Authority; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 92-219, the City Council authorized the Mayor to execute a lease between the City of National City and National City Capital for the placement of the police communications equipment on the roof of the Radisson Suites hotel; and WHEREAS, the original plan to locate the communications system on the roof of the Radisson Suites hotel could not be accomplished, and it has been determined to install the communications system on the roof of the new police facility; and WHEREAS, to cover the cost of the installation of the communications system on the roof of the new police facility, it is necessary to amend the Lease/Purchase Agreement to provide for an increase in the monthly lease payment of $1066.19 for 44 months. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that Resolution No. 92-164 is hereby amended to authorize an amendment to the Master Lease with Option to Purchase Agreement entered into by and between GE Capital Public Finance, Inc., the City of National City, and the National City Joint Powers Financing Authority to provide for an increase in the monthly lease payment of $1066.19 for 44 months.
