HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 93-35RESOLUTION NO. 93-35 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE DEPOSIT AND DISBURSEMENT OF MONIES COLLECTED BY THE SISTER CITY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City, in its meeting on January 12, 1993, appointed members of the Sister City Committee (the "Commit- tee"); and WHEREAS, the Committee is authorized to accept donations of money to help finance its operations; and WHEREAS, there are no established procedures specifically covering the handling of donations of money received by the Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City establishes, and directs the implementation of, the following procedures to cover donations of money received by the Committee: 1. Any donation of money received by the Committee should be submitted upon receipt to the City's Finance Department for deposit to the City's Treasury. 2. The Finance Department will maintain a record to account for the deposit and disbursement of monies submitted by the Committee. 3. When the Committee needs to disburse funds, an authorized Committee member shall submit to the City Council a written request indicating the amount and purpose of the disbursement. If approved by the City Council, and provided the amount requested is not in excess of the remaining balance of monies deposited by the Committee in the City's Treasury, the Finance Department will issue a warrant following the regular procedure for warrant processing.
