HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 93-130RESOLUTION NO. 9 3 -13 0 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO FOR STORM WATER MONITORING WHEREAS, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit issued to the City of National City by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board requires the City to conduct storm water monitoring as specified by the regulations of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency;and WHEREAS, several jurisdictions (the "co-permittees") in San Diego County have developed a joint monitoring program, whereby a private consultant originally retained by the City of San Diego will perform the storm water monitoring work with costs to be shared by the co-permittees on a pro-rata basis according to population; and WHEREAS, the cost to the City of National City for participating in this program will not exceed $6,500. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the City of San Diego for storm water monitoring, to be performed by Kinnetic Laboratories, Inc. at a cost to the City of National City not to exceed $6,500. Said Agreement is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1993. George H.
