HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 94-31RESOLUTION NO. 94-31 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SUBLEASE WITH THE UNITED STATES INSTITUTE OF AMATEUR ATHLETICS FOR RECREATIONAL USE OF THE FORMER TIDELANDS FIRE STATION WHEREAS, the City has entered into an amendment to agreement with the San Diego Unified Port District which grants to the City the right to utilize, and to permit other parties to utilize, the real property commonly known as the Tidelands Fire Station ("the Property") for recreational uses; and WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize the Property for a youth recreational program, including boxing, which qualifies as a recreational use; and WHEREAS, the City is willing to enter into a Sublease with the United States Institute for Amateur Athletics to conduct the aforementioned youth recreational program, including boxing, on the Property, subject to certain requirements contained in the Sublease. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Sublease with the United States Institute for Amateur Athletics to conduct a youth recreational program, including boxing, at the former Tidelands Fire Station. Said Sublease is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1994. ATTEST: Lori Anne Peoples, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: George H.
