OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
SUPPORTING AB 82 - BOOKING FEE REFORM
WHEREAS, Assemblyman Curt Pringle has proposed AB 82 to restore
order and fairness to the process of booking fees imposed by counties on cities; and

pre -fiscal year adoption of booking fee increases; and
WHEREAS, AB 82 will require counties to recognize the financial
contributions of cities which engage in pre -booking activities, which activities are often
significant in terms of costs and resources to the cities involved; and
WHEREAS, AB 82 is a needed piece of legislation which will greatly
improve the booking fee process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of National City that the City Council does hereby strongly support passage of AB 82,
and urges cities throughout the state to do the same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National
