RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM
SAN DIEGO COUNTY CO-PERMITTEE ANNUAL FEE AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO
WHEREAS, the City of National City and other San Diego County co-
permittees named in California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Diego
Region, Order No. 90-42 (NPDES Permit No. CA 0108758) are obligated to jointly pay
an annual permit fee of $10,000.00 and a Bay Protection and Toxic Cleanup Program
annual fee of $20,000.00 for calendar year 1997; and
WHEREAS, a new Stormwater Waste Discharge Permit and Memorandum
of Understanding covering San Diego County Co-permittees stormwater discharges for
the period of 1995-2000 will not be approved until April, 1997 or later; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that the City of National City and other co-
permittees enter into an agreement with the City of San Diego wherein the City of San
Diego, as Principal Permittee, will initially fund and pay the aforementioned $30,000.00
in fees, and the City of National City and other co-permittees will reimburse the City of
San Diego for their proportional shares of the $30,000.00 when invoiced by the City of
San Diego.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System San Diego County Co-Permittee Annual Fee Agreement
with the City of San Diego. Said Agreement is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
