RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY DIRECTING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
22ND STREET AT EUCLID AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee received a citizen complaint concerning
a sight distance problem at the intersection of 22nd Street and Euclid Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee voted at its July 9, 1997 meeting to
recommend that left -turns be prohibited from 22nd Street to Euclid Avenue.
WHEREAS, City Engineer prepared a report on the temporary closure of 22nd
Street at Euclid Avenue, as directed by the City Council at the August 5 meeting, which states

will the closure result in unreasonable liability exposure for the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City that the City Engineer is hereby directed to temporarily close 22nd Street at Euclid
Avenue.
