HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 99- 86RESOLUTION NO.99 — 86 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY ACCEPTING THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDS FOR THREE NEW, UNUSED TRUCKS, AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF PORTIONS OF BID #GS9899-5 TO VARIOUS VENDORS WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department of the City of National City did, in open session on June 7, 1999, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed bids for six new, unused pick-up trucks of various sizes; and WHEREAS, no bids were received for three of the six specified trucks due to the fact that the trucks were not in stock, the factories have stopped production of the 1999 models, and pricing is not yet available on the 2000 models. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby awards the contract for two longbed pick-up trucks to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, to wit: NATIONAL CITY FORD BE IT FURTHER RESOLED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby awards the contract for one patch truck to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, to wit: DION INTERNATIONAL BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City does hereby ratify the action of the Purchasing Agent in executing on behalf of the City a purchase order between National City Ford and the City of National City for two longbed pick-up trucks and between Dion International and the City of National City for one patch truck. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City directs the Purchasing Agent to rebid the other three trucks, when pricing becomes available, with subsequent awards being made from funds remaining in the FY 1999 Vehicle CIP.
