RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY ACCEPTING
THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE BID FROM
SNAP -ON INDUSTRIAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF ONE DIAGNOSTIC ENGINE ANALYZER
WHEREAS, the State of California has issued an award, based on competitive bidding to
the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Snap-On Industrial, for the purchase of a diagnostic engine
analyzer; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has determined that the bidding procedures followed
by the State of California fulfill the competitive bidding requirements of Chapter 2.60 of the National
City Municipal Code, and that it would be beneficial to take advantage of the State of California's bidding
process for the purchase of this equipment; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with National City Municipal Code Section 2.60.260,
Cooperative Purchasing, of Chapter 2.60 Purchasing System, authority exists to purchase equipment based
on a price established by competitive bidding' by another public jurisdiction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National
City that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City, a purchase order
between Snap-On Industrial and the City of National City to provide one diagnostic engine analyzer.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1' day of August, 2000.
