HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 2002 - 24RESOLUTION NO. 2002 — 24 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO COPERNIITTEES TO JOIN A REGIONAL COLLABORATION FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF A STORM WATER PROGRAM REQUIRED BY THE RWQCB ORDER 2001-01 (NPDES PERMIT FOR 2001-02) WHEREAS, in compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program, the City of National City is required to monitor wet weather storm water run off as required by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency; and WHEREAS, the County of San Diego, the incorporated cities of San Diego County, and the San Diego Unified Port District, referred to as "co-permittees", have been using a jointly developed monitoring program that is in compliance with the EPA regulations and is acceptable to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, and WHEREAS, this Agreement will establish the responsibilities of each copermittee with respect to compliance with the NPDES storm water permit regulations. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Implementation Agreement with the County of San Diego to establish the responsibilities of each copermittee with respect to compliance with the NPDES storm water permit regulations. Said agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk. PASSED and ADOPTED this 19'h day of February, 2002. George H.
