RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
APPROVING SALARY AND BENEFIT ADJUSTMENTS
FOR CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES FOR
FISCAL YEARS 2002/03 THROUGH 2004/05, TO BE
EFFECTIVE THE FIRST PAY PERIOD OF FISCAL YEAR 2002/03

WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has presented the City Council with certain
recommendations regarding the salary and benefit provisions for City Confidential Employees;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the recommended Confidential
Employee salary and benefit provisions should be implemented.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City that the changes to the salary and benefit provisions for National City Confidential
Employees, as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A", are hereby approved and effective the first pay
period of Fiscal Year 2002/03.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is directed to allocate
necessary funds to implement the aforementioned changes to salary and benefit provisions for
Fiscal Years 2002/03 through 2004/05.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 2002.

SUMMARY OF THE BENEFIT & SALARY PROVISIONS FOR
CONFIDENTIAL GROUP
FISCAL YEAR 2002-2005
SALARY ADJUSTMENTS:
CAFETERIA HEALTH BENEFIT:
HOLIDAYS:
Salaries will be increased by 5% effective the start of 1st
pay period of FY 2002-2003, and in FY 2003-2004 & FY
2004-2005 will receive the same salary increases as the
MEA.
Effective July 1, 2002, the health and dental
benefit will increase to $450/month with cash -in -
lieu and increase annually on February 1 of each
year proportionately with the MEA increases.
Will observe the King & Chavez Holidays as paid
fixed holidays in addition to having six (6) floating
holidays.
OTHER: All other provisions of the MEA MOU will apply to
this group through the expiration of that contract.
